Commissions

when you are looking for something specific

Stephen creates paintings on a commission basis for individuals and organizations. Paintings can be commissioned in any size but it is generally more cost effective to chose one of the standard dimensions (in inches):

24x40

30x40

36x48

42x42

48x48

24x60

24x72

30x72

Sizes can be

horizontal or vertical

Paintings on canvas do not need to be framed, thus the sizes reflect the dimensions of the finished piece. Framing the canvas is an option and will add to the overall finished dimensions.

For larger spaces, Stephen can create pairs, trip-tychs, or other groupings. This avoids difficulties of transportation and moving (stairways and elevators) associated with over-sized paintings.

About

about

Stephen has been captivating audiences for the past thirty years with his unique use of colour and texture. Originally influenced by his years of travel throughout Asia and South America, Stephen now draws inspiration from the natural world. Isolating various elements found in nature, Stephen incorporates their essence into abstract and impressionist compositions, creating a body of work that transcends language and invokes a sense of wonder. Layers of paint and texture engage the viewer who is invited to bring his/her own perceptions to the paintings.

"The language of colour is personal. The colour the artist choses defines him and his work. The possibilities are infinite and the style is defined not only by what is chosen but by what is left out. In combination with texture, colour becomes three dimensional, creating a more engaging level of expression"

Stephen studied at Wilfrid Laurier University and the Ontario College of Art. He reaches his audience through public exhibitions, galleries, private showings and studio visits.
